Founded in 1987, Kie became expert in manufacturing equipments and systems for plastics recycling. Using its own technology, observant to customers’ needs and with 25 years of existence, KIE has already sold hundreds of equipments to all Brazilian states and several countries in Latin America.
Producing equipments with proven quality, Kie manufactures and sells almost all equipments necessary for mechanical recycling, such as Belt conveyors, grinders, washers, dryers, tanks, pneumatic and screw conveyors, silos, extruders, pelletizers, agglutinators, label extractors, vibrating sieves, weighing and begging machines and pre washers.
Settled in its own headquarters with 5000m², of which 1500m² are built area, Kie is located 70km from São Paulo and 20km from Viracopos International Airport. It is near the main highways, facilitating the distribution of spare parts and displacement of our technical assistance.

The waste produced by each one of us is a small part of the amount that have been producing every day, composed of industrial, construction, mining and others types of waste. Any active produces waste. What we can’t ignore is the waste must be properly separated, collected and recycled before its final disposal, by recycling materials.
A plastic came up as a big phenomenon at the industrial age, replacing wood and metal, and nowadays receives the position of big environmental villain in the world. Its big resistance to degrade makes its life cycle very long and centuries are needed to decompose a simple plastic packaging.
Recycling is environmentally friendly and can be economically viable and profitable for collectors, cities, recyclers and the processors of these materials.
Currently there are three forms to recycle plastics: Mechanical Recycling (more suitable for the processing industries), energy recycling and chemistry recycling. Kie manufactures and develops equipments for mechanical recycling that consists in conversing industrial and consumer waste to pellets that can be reused to manufacture other products. It allows obtaining materials from mixtures of different plastics in certain proportions, or composed of only one type.
The first stage is the separation of the material, hence the importance of the packing identification. After the separation, the material will be grind and will pass through the process of washing with water to remove impurities – it is necessary that this water receives treatment for its reuse or emission as effluent – proceeding to the dryer that will centrifuge it. At the next stage, the material is heated in the Agglutinator. At this stage, additives can be incorporated. The last stage occurs in the extruder where the material is melted, homogenized and cooled to be transformed into pellets by the pelletizer.
The basic equipments used in mechanical recycling are grinder, washer, dryer, agglutinator, extruder and pelletizer.
